Stay Vigilant this Holiday Season

For the upcoming holiday season, we'd like to remind you that online scams and phishing attacks typically increase as cybercriminals take advantage of increased online shopping and charitable giving. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a valuable layer of security by requiring not only a password but also a second form of verification, like a code sent to your phone or biometric recognition. Using MFA can help protect against unauthorized access to accounts, even if passwords are compromised.

For examples of holiday-related scams, you can refer to the FBI’s holiday scam awareness page for descriptions of common tactics.

Remind your colleagues and family members to enable MFA on all critical accounts, such as email, banking, and shopping sites, to stay secure this season.
